Tantalus Great Escape

I recently finished FFIX after about fifteen years from the last time.
I appreciated more many elements that as an adolescent I found trivial or childish and that today I found well structured (the character of Eiko).
However, the swerve of the plot with its scifi side was boring and uninteresting as I remembered it.
The first half of the game, the Garnet-based story arc, is truly engaging and interesting thanks to its rhythm and characters who all hads their space.
As always, the Squaresoft of the 90s manages to create an unforgettable cast of secondary characters, the Tantalus are one of the most iconic elements of FFIX and every time they interact with the protagonists they are always fun and entertaining.
Also the adapters of the Italian version did a beautiful job in my opinion, characterizing the characters with dialects and accents (Cinna is Roman, Baku is Neapolitan, Marcus is German, Ruby is Spanish, Benero and Zenero are Sardinian).
