Grandia Heroes

When Grandia came out I was too young to know the ps1 catalog and I bought games randomly in stores, I only got to know the series with Grandia II (a blind purchase).
Finally, thanks to the HD collection I was able to discover this classic of the jrpg genre.

Grandia is a nice adventure story, with simple themes and nice characters, the dungeons are very large (in some cases, however too repetitive) and the battle system is very interesting.
Although the plot is simple and not very original, it is impossible not to feel involved in the adventures of Justin and Feena.
having grown up with the anime of the 80s and 90s I loved the tropes of those times, like the three girls officers of the empire, the jokes, the love story....

In my opinion GameArts used its resources at best, I really appreciated the cinemtographic cuts, the use of frame changes, cutscenes and movies.
On the other hand, the soundtrack is nothing special and the dub is very amatourish.

If before playing the game I felt nothing in front of the illustration of the protagonists on top of the wall or in front of the Golems, now I find them very significant and full of emotions.

For me this game is a good classic jrpg that everyone should play.
