I remember perfectly the day when by pure chance I discovered Golden Sun in a huge video game store (which no longer exists today), at that time I was 11 and the only jrpg I knew were FFVII and FFVIII.
At that time I didn't buy magazines nor had an internet connection, this discovery made the game even more valuable for me, plus the fact that it was for GBA made it the perfect travel game.
Golden Sun is a very solid title, although in the first chapter some aspects do not shine too much, many ideas are excellent, first of all the puzzles based on psynergy.
The shortcomings of the first game are then filled by the second (which I always bought by chance in the same shop) which is a true all-round title, the two games should be played in a row and considered as two discs of the same title.
I never played the third title of the trilogy because it came out at a time when I had stopped playing video games, I hope that Nintendo and Camelot give us a nice collection for the Nintendo Switch.
