Final Fantasy VII Heroes

Undoubtedly, Final Fantasy VII was revolutionary for the jrpg genre, both on a technical and setting level.

For years it has been together with FFVIII my favorite of the saga, unfortunately, however, due to the many (and useless) spinnoffs, insights and a horrible remake that in my opinion is an insult to one of the masterpieces of the genre (I'm not a fan of Nojima and Nomura, Kitase and Sakaguchi were the real geniuses imho) I think FFVII has unfortunately lost some of its magic (it always remains beautiful but unfortunately I have seen Advent Children).

The original adventures of Cloud and companions (not the edgy Kingdom Hearts-style nonsense seasoned with a silly and childish use of abused tropes of the remake) are in my opinion to be considered the only canonical things in the world of FFVII to fully appreciate a well written story with great characters (no Dirge of Cerberus, no Crisis Core, no Before Crisis, no Advent Children, no Nojima novels and absolutely no FFVII remake).

Sorry for the outburst of this old man raised with bread and Final Fantasy who regrets the magical times of Squaresoft and Sakaguchi :)
